An ocean of
tears…
I’ve cried for you,
An ocean of tears…
When I knew not what to do.
An ocean of tears…
For a child so ill,
An ocean of tears…
In the night – so still!
An ocean of tears…
And – within – silent screams,
An ocean of tears…
For vanished dreams.
An ocean of tears…
For a child – so stolen from me,
An ocean of tears…
Lord – How can this be?
An ocean of tears…
Each counted by God above,
An ocean of tears…
As I think of His love.
An
ocean of tears…
He, too,
surely shed for His Son,
An ocean of
tears…
Knowing the
battle will be won!
An ocean of
tears…
Tears of joy – that now – fill my heart,
An ocean of
tears…
Though my heart rips apart!
An ocean of tears…
Knowing He holds you dear,
An ocean of tears…
Now replaces the fear.
An ocean of tears…
Grief – almost unbearable – it is true,
An ocean of tears…
Of such pain – and now – of such joy - too!
An ocean of tears…
God sheds along with me,
An ocean of tears…
No longer mine - only!
An ocean of tears…
Only His blood can wash away,
An ocean of tears…
Now makes me savor every day!
