“Make Me A Blessing...”
There is a hymn written by Ira B. Wilson, entitled “Make Me A Blessing” (words provided below). That hymn truly expresses what I hope my story will become for families dealing with autism, Alzheimer's and schizophrenia. As difficult as it is to live with these disorders, many around the world are still much less fortunate than we.
If your family is blessed by the information provided on this site, please consider being a blessing to someone else in need. Americans are truly blessed by God. We can purchase a Bible on almost any street corner. However, that is not so in many parts of the world. There are people around the world who must hand write all the pages of a Bible “to get their own copy of God’s Word”. It is a very time consuming effort.
There are many organization devoted to spreading the word of God - at very, very low cost... although these costs may change a little, this gives you an idea of what is possible.
For only $1.00, Gospel for Asia ( http://www.gfa.org/site/donate_online/index.html ) provides a complete bible for someone in Asia. A gift of only 25 CENTS provides a copy of the New Testament only.
Bible League ( http://www.bible-league.org )provides a bible plus training for $4.00, and a New Testament and training for $1.50 to countries worldwide. This organization estimates that for every bible provided in parts of Asia, 5 people will come to know Christ.
